Installing iPhone ringtones:
  1. Download the file onto a PC or MAC computer
  2. Download the newest version of iTunes
  3. Connect your iphone to your PC or Mac with its included USB to Lightning cable
  4. Unlock your iPhone and tap the “Trust” option on its screen to confirm you want to trust your computer (If you haven’t previously done this)
    1. If you have problems getting iTunes on Windows to recognize your phone (for example, you may get an error message saying iTunes is waiting for Windows to install a driver) try unplugging all other USB cables from your computer and/or change the USB port your phone is connected to.
  5. In iTunes, click the device icon (the little image of a cell phone) that appears to the left of “Library” on the navigation bar  at the top of the screen
  6. Click the “Tones” section under “On My Device” in the left sidebar
  7. Drag and drop the m4r ringtone file from wherever you’ve stored it on your computer to the Tones section in iTunes (If drag and drop doesn’t work use copy and paste instead). iTunes will sync the ringtone to your phone and it will immediately appear under “Tones”
  8. Chose the ringtone on your phone under Settings>Sounds and Haptics>Ringtone and choose your custom ringtone
